Ulka Agarwal, M.D., is an integrative medicine physician and board-certified psychiatrist. She completed medical school at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL, and her residency in psychiatry at the University of Washington School of Medicine, in Seattle, WA. She is a graduate of Dr. Andrew Weil’s Integrative Medicine Fellowship and is board-eligible in Integrative Medicine. She previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Director of Clinical Research for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a research non-profit in Washington, DC. In this position, she conducted clinical trials on the effects of plant-based diets on migraine, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetic neuropathy pain, and mental health. She is currently Lead Physician and a psychiatrist at California State University, East Bay, in Hayward, CA, where she developed and leads a weekly employee wellness program on plant-based nutrition.
